1) Family is the most important thing in life:

I agree, because if you don't have a family your soul is poor. You have nothing to live for apart from yourself and your daily routine. You might have friends but there is a reason why we have seperate terms for different people, meaning, people we call family are closer to us than people we call friends. So, having a family fulfills your main needs in ways that common people can't. Some people think family is not important, but in reality, it actually is. They just don't see it because they never spend time with them. Someday, people like this will need their family, but they will not be there for them.

2)Sometimes winning the lottery is a bad thing:

I agree, because if you win the lottery you will want to gamble more and more in hope that you will win again. Also, you might become selfish because you will think that with all that money you are special amongst your community, only because you won a few millions. It can also be a disadvantage because you will spend money on things you really don't need and can live without. It is like a disease, because winning once puts you under the illusion that you will win again and again, but unfortunately you end up broke.

3) Our lives are ruled by fate, no matter what decisions we take, our lives are already planned out for us:

I strongly disagree, because you make and decide for your own fate. What happens to you is caused by yourself. You can choose what your fait is going to be by your actions, you plan along what you're going to do in the future, and fait cannot control your life, otherwise you wouldn't have a choice for what you will do in the future. We might as well have brought a book with us when we were born, that gives us the steps we should take in order to control our fait. But we are in total control, and the consequences, whether they are good or bad, of our actions and decisions are what set our life's path.

Haiti Podcast

The already unfortunate people of Haiti have been struck by a desrtuctive earthquake that has left nothing but ruins from the buildings that once stood, and nothing from the Haitian's lives. Although the earthquake has "left", all the issues that were accompanying it decided to stay behind and haunt the population. The victims were already struggling to survive before this incident and now they have a thousand more needs than before. That is why the rest of the world must join to help these people and give them hope for a better tomorrow.
The most important element that humans need to survive is fresh water and solid food. By donating money to different organizations that are in touch with the charities in Haiti, such as the Red Cross, we could supply food and water for these individuals.
Most of the citizen's houses have been destroyed and the people are forced to sleep in the streets. We must start reconstructing as soon as possible in order for these people to be able to start living a normal life again. Also, many are injured and have no place to be treated properly so they are in great danger of dying because of these untreated wounds.
This leads to another problem they are facing; they don't have enough medical supplies. Governments should be sending doctors from all around the world to treat these patients and they should also pay for all the medicine that will be needed during this process.
In the meantime, simple actions that all of us can do to help improve the situation would be things such as having seminars that inform people about where they could go to donate money, clothes that they don't need, canned food, shoes, toys etc. We could organize fund raisers at schools and small communities and send the money to a larger organization that could then send it on to Haiti.
This terrible event should make us realize how a whole nation could change forever. As human beings we should be moved by this and we should want to help these desperate people. A small deposit or any other donation could help change the life of one or more individuals costing almost nothing for us. So let's get a move on it people!

1) Politics and political problems are a subject for adults to deal with.
I agree because, the adults know, and they take better disisions. They also know how to deal with politics. And the last thing is that they, can come up with a wise solution.

2) All the scenarios can have a happy ending if those involved work toward it.
I agree because, if there is like a problem in the family you can fix it by thinking of good ideas to end it comely. And I also disagree because with some problems like a disease that you can die with, you can't do really anything about it.

3) Literacy( being able to read and write) is a form of freedom.
I disagree because, if you are able to write, that doesn't mean you can bring world piece by writting a speach

4)Civilizations without a written language cannot effectively document history.
I disagree because written language can help you understand the main document. I also agree becouse they don't nessessaraly explain everything

If you come with us, the greasers, you will become one of our family. All of the greasers are like brothers, and they respect one another. Also us greasers are tougher than the socs and we always fight fair. Money doesn’t really mean anything to us, and we are much happier than the socs. One of the most important about us greasers is that we have dignity. And we would back you up no mater what.
Let me also tell you why you shouldn’t go with the socs. One of the most horrible things about the socs is that they never back you up. The most important thing of their life is their money. The socs are also weak, even though they don’t fight fair. In all of the fights we made, we beat the snot out of them. Also another thing about the socs is that they only care about themselves. The reason that we are tougher than the socs is that we were born in the streets and we learned our own way of fighting. And the last thing that is bad about the socs is their look. We hate their shirts, their funny looking pants and their hairstyle. And the stupidest thing about the socs is that they fight like sissies. Now you should which side to go with. If you come with us, that would be good because we would help you if you were in trouble. But the socs wouldn’t care if you were in trouble. They would just leave you behind and not care. You better be smart and choose us kid. Think about it, and tell us tomorrow.
